Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant - Personal Injury (Remote LATAM)

About the role

An active U.S. Personal Injury law practice is hiring an experienced, detail-oriented bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant to work remotely from Latin America. The role covers the period from intake through demand, acting as a key point of contact for case management, lien resolutions, medical records retrieval and time-sensitive litigation service emails from courts and opposing counsel. Pay is $1,000-$1,100 USD per month, full-time U.S. business hours, as an independent contractor with no PTO.

Key responsibilities

• Manage liens and PIP protocols: send formal notices by certified mail to health insurance administrators and subrogation vendors, and order, review and process PIP logs and medical payment coverages.
• Oversee medical records and billing: retrieve, request and verify records and billing ledgers, run balance verifications and resolve disputed charges.
• Process litigation service communications: monitor, download and log court notices, judge filings and opposing counsel service emails.
• Prepare demand packages: assemble them, organize supporting exhibits, transmit them to adjusters and confirm delivery.
• Support case investigation and client intake: run LexisNexis, crash report and FLMVR searches, update database files according to firm naming conventions, and handle bilingual clients' health card and wage verification requests.

Required profile

• Proven direct experience in Florida Personal Injury litigation (strictly required).
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken, for client, court and adjuster communication.
• High autonomy, sharp attention to procedural accuracy and strong organizational skills.
• A dependable laptop, a dedicated distraction-free workspace and a stable high-speed internet connection.

Required skills

• Lien resolution (Medicaid/Medicare/private), PIP logs, medical billing and demand package assembly.
• Handling litigation service emails, court filings and strict legal deadlines.
• Use of LexisNexis, Chartswap and Florida law workflows.
