Bilingual Family Therapist

About the role

The Bilingual Family Therapist provides in‑home and virtual therapy to adolescents and their caregivers, using evidence‑based Multidimensional Family Therapy and Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The position reports to the Parenting of Adolescents Program Manager and works in a hybrid, flexible environment in Durham, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver therapy to youth and families using MDFT and TF‑CBT models.
• Meet families 1‑3 times per week in homes, offices, community settings, or via telehealth.
• Support families in court, school meetings, and prosocial activities.
• Administer and collect pre‑ and post‑test measures, write weekly summaries, and maintain session fidelity recordings.
• Participate in weekly group and individual supervision and attend community events as needed.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups for teens and families when required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Provisionally or fully licensed (e.g., LCSW(A)).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish with reliable transportation for home visits.
• Experience working with families and youth, strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Commitment to model fidelity and willingness to become certified in MDFT and TF‑CBT.
