Benign Hematologist – MD Anderson Cancer Center (Covington, LA)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematologist‑Oncologist to join the St. Tammany Cancer Center, an MD Anderson Cancer Center partner located in Covington, LA. The physician will provide comprehensive cancer care within a multi‑specialty group practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver multidisciplinary care including medical oncology, chemotherapy infusion, and radiation oncology services.
• Participate in weekly call rotation shared with regional physicians and serve as a hospital consultant.
• Collaborate with specialists across the Ochsner Health System and contribute to research and teaching initiatives.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
• Ability to work in an onsite, collaborative environment in Covington, LA.
• Commitment to patient‑first care and participation in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
