Benefits Coordinator

About the role

Asure Software, which provides Human Capital Management (HCM) software and services, is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Benefits Coordinator in Austin. The role gathers and organizes the information needed for client benefits renewals, working with clients, insurance carriers, brokers and internal teams while keeping strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and organize the information required for client benefits renewals
• Work with clients, carriers, brokers and internal teams so that renewal documents and data are collected on time
• Review and analyze client benefit plan documents and update them as needed
• Track renewal timelines and communicate deadlines and requirements to clients
• Maintain accurate records of client communications and renewal documents
• Collaborate with account managers and benefits consultants to meet client renewal needs
• Help resolve renewal issues by researching and proposing solutions
• Prepare and deliver renewal reports and updates to clients
• Stay current on industry trends, plan offerings and regulations
• Collect plan data so that 5,500 forms are delivered and filed
• Prepare Broker of Record letters for new client implementations and Cobra enrollment documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in benefits administration, client services or a similar role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage several tasks at once
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Benefits management software
• Knowledge of benefits offerings, plan renewals and related regulations is a plus
• Life, accident and health brokerage license preferred
