Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist

About the role

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy, counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments, and treatment planning for patients ages 5 through late adulthood. Working on the Center for Comprehensive Pain Recovery, you will support individuals, groups, and families across the mental‑health spectrum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual, group, family and crisis counseling sessions.
• Conduct assessments and develop interdisciplinary treatment plans.
• Coordinate with statutory agencies, relatives, and community support workers to ensure compliance and facilitate discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families, provide resources, and supervise lower‑level social workers, students or interns.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in departmental meetings, teaching, and continuing education.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), LPCC, LPC or LSW with no substantiated ethics or abuse reports.
• Minimum three years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices.
