Behavior Coach

About the role

River Rock Academy seeks a Behavior Coach to guide and mentor students facing behavioral and academic challenges. You will promote positive decision‑making, self‑regulation, and social growth while ensuring a safe, collaborative school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor students to develop problem‑solving, self‑control, and decision‑making skills.
• Monitor behavior, enforce expectations, and maintain student accountability.
• Respond to crisis situations using approved safety and de‑escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
• Document behavioral incidents and progress accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, behavioral science, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional challenges.
• Knowledge of positive behavior interventions and crisis management techniques.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and consistent in high‑stress situations.
