Banking & Transfer Specialist

About the role

The Banking & Transfer Specialist is a hands‑on processor within tastytrade’s fast‑paced Banking team. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and clearing firms, ensuring timely funding of accounts so trades can be executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Process all account transfers (ACATs), including full and partial transfers from other brokerage firms.
• Manually review and execute domestic and international wires, checks, internal transfers, and ACH disbursements.
• Handle IRA‑related distributions, early withdrawals, RMDs, and qualified distributions.
• Scan and deposit checks daily, maintaining accurate records.
• Process 401(k) rollovers and IRA transfers, managing direct, indirect, and 60‑day rollover requirements.
• Resolve ACAT rejections and documentation issues in coordination with contra firms.
• Serve as escalation point for complex funding, transfer, and wire‑related inquiries.
• Provide support via chat, email, and phone to customers and internal teams on money‑movement matters.
• Ensure compliance with AML regulations and assist fraud prevention efforts.

Required profile

• FINRA Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 Top‑Off) and Series 63 licensure.
• Proven experience processing wires, ACH, checks, and IRA distributions.
• Ability to mentor junior Banking Support Specialists.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to regulatory compliance.
