Automotive Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician at Mills Auto Group will join a busy dealership shop in North Wilkesboro, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles while delivering professional service and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Examine vehicles based on customer concerns and service requests.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
• Repair or replace worn components including spark plugs, brake pads, wheel bearings, fuel system parts, and sensors.
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment and visual inspection to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Follow checklists to ensure thorough inspections and accurate repairs.
• Communicate repair recommendations and status updates to customers and team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to lift 50 lb unassisted.
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
