Automations Engineer, Post Sales Systems

As an Automations Engineer on the Post‑Sales Systems team you’ll design, build and maintain AI‑powered automation that powers our support organization, reducing manual effort and improving the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build Zendesk automations for ticket routing, field population, note summarization, escalation logic and customer outreach.
• Develop AI‑driven workflows using Zendesk AI, custom LLM integrations and ClickUp Super Agents for summarization, sentiment analysis and response suggestions.
• Architect low‑code/no‑code solutions with Workato, Zapier and similar platforms to connect Zendesk, Salesforce, ClickUp and Maven chatbot.
• Own the full automation lifecycle – discovery, design, testing, deployment and continuous optimization.
• Ensure seamless data flow between Zendesk, Salesforce, ClickUp, Chili Piper and other support tools, keeping data clean and up‑to‑date.
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards and data pipelines that surface support health and automation impact.
• Partner with Support and Success teams to identify pain points and deliver measurable value through automation.
• Experiment with emerging AI/LLM capabilities, create reusable templates and log work in the AI Excellence registry.
• Monitor automation health, error rates and SLAs, proactively resolving issues before they affect operations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with GTM Systems leadership to align AI strategy across post‑sales, sales and finance domains.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in systems administration, business systems engineering or customer‑support platform work.
• Proven track record of building production‑ready automations or integrations that delivered measurable business value.
• Hands‑on experience as a Zendesk admin (automations, triggers, business rules, custom apps).
• Experience working in fast‑paced, collaborative environments where you wear multiple hats.
• Optional but valued: experience with ClickUp, Maven/chatbots, GTM systems or support‑focused SaaS operations.

Required skills

• Zendesk administration – automations, triggers, custom fields and reporting.
• Integration & API work – REST APIs, webhooks, Workato, Zapier (or similar low‑code tools).
• AI & LLM knowledge – prompt engineering, OpenAI/Claude APIs, safe production integration.
• Scripting & data handling – JSON, SQL, Python or JavaScript for data pipelines.
• Salesforce integration – understanding of Zendesk‑to‑Salesforce sync workflows and object relationships.
