Audit Advisor – Assurance Manager (Multiple Positions)

About the role

EY is seeking experienced Audit Advisors to join its Assurance practice in Boston. In this manager‑level position you will lead audit engagements for private and public companies, applying US GAAS, PCAOB standards and US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit procedures in accordance with US GAAS, PCAOB rules, and SEC regulations.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to deliver high‑quality audits and provide business insights.
• Identify audit risks, obtain evidence, and generate actionable insights for clients.
• Prepare, analyze, and verify financial statements, addressing complex accounting topics such as revenue recognition, share‑based compensation, and business combinations.
• Understand client industries, monitor emerging trends, and assess their impact on financial reporting.
• Manage and motivate audit teams, ensuring timely delivery of quality client services.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships and pursue business development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field with 5 years of audit experience (or Master’s degree with 4 years).
• Minimum 2 years supervising audit planning and execution for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and financial‑statement audits.
• At least 2 years supervising audit teams of two or more staff members.
• Experience with SOX (ICFR) audits at a PCAOB‑registered public accounting firm.
• Experience auditing management review controls and testing entity‑generated information.
