Associate QA Engineer

About the role

Veeva Systems is looking for an Associate QA Engineer for Nitro, an AI-native data platform that turns fragmented life sciences data into actionable insights for commercial teams. Testing is built into the same function as building and deploying, and this is a junior role for someone who wants to build a career in QA and automation. You will start with day-to-day testing and grow into broader ownership of test automation, in a testing environment being made more AI-forward.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day QA across releases: new data connectors, schema changes, customer rollouts and platform upgrades, ensuring changes are solid before reaching customers.
• Reduce false-failure noise in the test suite and make it run more efficiently.
• Understand the business logic behind data pipelines so tests check the right things.
• Build new automations as new features roll out.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in building a career in QA and automation.
• Entry-level to about 1-2 years of QA or testing experience.
• Comfortable moving between technical detail and business context.

Required skills

• Familiarity with coding with Claude or similar.
• Strong foundations in Java and SQL.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• Nice to have: API/UI automation frameworks such as Cucumber and Selenium, AWS (EC2, S3, IAM), and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

• Base pay of $85,000 - $110,000, with possible variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
