Associate Program Director, Sports Medicine Fellowship (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Science Center are seeking a board‑certified primary care physician with a CAQ in Sports Medicine to join their expanding Sports Medicine division. The Associate Program Director will provide clinical care for acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, concussions, and lifestyle medicine, while also leading the Sports Medicine Fellowship and collaborating with local schools and athletic organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient sports medicine clinic services
• Provide outpatient family/primary care clinic services
• Serve as Associate Program Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship
• Assist with outreach to universities, colleges, high schools, and community athletic programs, including sideline and training‑room coverage
• Act as faculty for the primary care sports medicine fellowship, family medicine residencies, and the School of Medicine

Required profile

• Board Certified in Primary Care with a CAQ in Sports Medicine
• Eligible for active Louisiana medical licensure
• Experience treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues, concussions, exercise and lifestyle medicine, and using musculoskeletal ultrasound
