Associate Manager, Sustaining Sourcing

About the role

Stryker is hiring an Associate Manager, Sustaining Sourcing (Metals) in Portage, United States, on a hybrid basis. The role develops and executes strategic sustaining sourcing initiatives that improve cost, quality, service and supply continuity across machining products, stamp components and strategic components. It works with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize the supply base, mitigate risk, support new product development and deliver value aligned with divisional and enterprise objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, supply base optimization and spend analysis initiatives.
• Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to achieve optimal commercial, quality and service outcomes.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships through scorecards, business reviews and continuous improvement.
• Conduct cost analyses, benchmarking and make-versus-buy evaluations.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Partner with engineering, operations, quality, finance and product development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management or supplier development.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction, risk mitigation and supplier performance management.
• Strong analytical, project management and influencing skills, with proven collaboration across organizational levels.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience leading sourcing initiatives in metals supply markets (machining products, stamp components, strategic components).
• Experience in a highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QSR and ISO 9001 standards.
• Master's degree and/or professional certifications such as APICS, ISM, CSCMP or PMP.
• Large ERP experience.

What we offer

• Pay range of $89,300 - $148,800 USD annually.
• Hybrid work flexibility.
• 10% travel percentage.
