Associate Financial Planner

About the role

Reporting to Financial Planners and Partners, the Associate Financial Planner supports the Planning Team in managing client relationships and implementing financial plans. The role involves preparing client files, assisting with planning opportunities, and handling client inquiries throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update consult files for each client’s annual meeting in coordination with the Data Input Specialist.
• Assist Financial Planners with planning opportunities, implementation items, and annual client meetings.
• Respond promptly to client questions via email and phone.
• Review annual income tax returns and complete year‑end tax projections.
• Perform financial analysis, tax planning, and retirement plan optimization for client business units.
• Reconcile current investment asset allocations and correspond with internal departments and external vendors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Tax.
• CPA or CPA candidate certification.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting or equivalent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
