Associate Financial Planner Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

The Associate Financial Planner Intern will support Financial Planners and Partners in managing client relationships and implementing financial plans. This full‑time, 10‑week summer internship runs from early June to mid‑August 2027, offering hands‑on experience in financial analysis, tax planning, and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update consult files for each client’s annual meeting.
• Assist the Financial Planner with planning opportunities and implementation items.
• Respond promptly to client questions via email and phone.
• Review annual income tax returns and complete year‑end tax projections.
• Conduct financial analysis, tax planning, and retirement plan optimization for client‑owned businesses.
• Reconcile current investment asset allocations and correspond with internal departments and external vendors.

Required profile

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Tax, or a related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel.
