About the role
DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering is a leading provider of motor vehicle crash reconstruction services in the United States. As an Associate Engineer Intern in Charlotte, you will support senior engineers by conducting fieldwork, processing 3‑D data, and assisting with analysis and documentation for complex collision cases.
Key responsibilities
- Process and analyze 3‑D laser‑scanned data from crash scenes.
- Scan, file, and archive evidence and equipment.
- Organize evidence, maintain warehouse inventory, and update materials lists.
- Transfer data and ensure accurate documentation of project files.
- Shadow senior engineers during office analysis and client presentations.
- Conduct a vehicle‑testing data analysis project on heavy‑truck collision mitigation systems.
- Set up basic simulations using MADYMO software and prepare internal training documentation.
Required skills
- 3‑D data processing and laser‑scanning.
- Drone operation for site capture.
- Computer simulation and modeling.
- MADYMO simulation software.
- Vehicle testing data analysis.
