Associate Developmental Editor

About the role

Wake Learning, a division of GW, seeks a creative individual passionate about education to develop instructional content and assessments for higher education and adult learning.

Key responsibilities

• Critically evaluate and edit content and assessments from freelance SMEs/writers to meet established standards.
• Ensure materials conform to templates, including file formatting and content order.
• Write new content, summaries, and develop or rewrite assessment questions.
• Manage select projects, communicate with customers, monitor costs, and keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Professional assessment writing or project‑management experience.
• Strong critical thinking, writing, grammar, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially Track Changes in Word.
