About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks an Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology. The role combines clinical surgical care, teaching of medical students and residents, and research activities within a collaborative academic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct surgical care to patients and ensure continuity of care.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through didactic, bedside, and clinical education.
- Engage in research collaborations and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine.
- Participate in community outreach and departmental initiatives.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree with General Surgery residency training.
- Fellowship‑trained in Surgical Oncology and eligible for an Arkansas medical license.
- Eligibility for American Board of Surgery certification and DEA license.
