Assistant Professor of Nursing (Tenure-Track)

About the role

This is a 12‑month, tenure‑track Assistant Professor position in the School of Nursing. The role involves teaching, advising, mentoring, and assessing students throughout the nursing program while contributing to scholarly work and service to the university and profession.

Key responsibilities

• Teach, advise, mentor, and evaluate students across clinical, face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Participate in service to the university, community, and the nursing profession.
• Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activities, including research and publications.
• Contribute to course evaluation, revision, and development of test items in line with School of Nursing guidelines.
• Demonstrate current knowledge of nursing practice and contemporary healthcare trends.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing (or doctoral degree in nursing) and a current, unencumbered Arkansas RN license or ability to obtain one before start date.
• In‑state residency required after employment begins.
• Preferred: doctoral degree in nursing or related field, recent teaching or clinical experience, and CNE certification.
