About the role
Texas A&M International University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its Communication Sciences and Disorders program beginning Fall 2027. This 9‑month tenure‑track position involves teaching, scholarship, and service within a vibrant, bicultural campus.
Key responsibilities
- Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses and evaluate student progress.
- Manage administrative aspects of courses, including grading and curriculum updates.
- Supervise field‑based experiences and student internships as needed.
- Maintain scholarly productivity through peer‑reviewed publications and conference participation.
- Assist in developing a new Master’s program and provide departmental service.
Required profile
- Doctorate (or ABD with doctorate earned before appointment) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
- Eligibility for Texas SLP licensure and/or ASHA CCC‑SLP certification.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence, peer‑reviewed research, external funding, and support for first‑generation students.
