Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology (Neurocritical Care)

About the role

The University of Miami School of Medicine is seeking a non‑tenure‑track Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track within the Neurocritical Care Division of Neurology. The incumbent will provide clinical coverage for the Neuroscience ICU at Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital and will support neurocritical care consults as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in inpatient settings across UHealth facilities.
• Train and mentor neurology residents and fellows through lectures, didactic sessions, and individual guidance.
• Prepare and present material at teaching conferences.
• Collect and analyze data to support future clinical research award applications.

Required profile

• MD degree from an accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and completion of a Neurocritical Care fellowship.
• Board certification in Neurology or primary training area.
• Strong communication skills (face‑to‑face, telephone, written) and excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain good organizational practices.
