About the role

The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track to provide direct patient care and teach trainees in endocrinology.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as attending physician for ambulatory services (approximately 80% of effort).
  • Serve as attending physician for inpatient services, including evening, weekend and holiday call (approximately 10% of effort).
  • Teach endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students (approximately 10% of effort).

Required profile

  • MD degree with ACGME‑accredited Internal Medicine internship and residency.
  • Completed a 3‑year ACGME‑accredited Endocrinology fellowship.
  • Valid American Board certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (or board‑eligible).
  • Unrestricted Florida medical license (or eligibility to obtain prior to credentialing).
  • Valid DEA license, current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Required skills

  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in endocrine disorders to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
  • Ability to maintain CME requirements and meet institutional and state licensing standards.
