Assistant Professor of Accounting (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Accounting to join its School of Business. This full‑time faculty position focuses on undergraduate teaching, student advising, and scholarly activity within a teaching‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach approximately twelve credit hours per semester, covering courses such as Principles of Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Governmental/Nonprofit Accounting, and Accounting Information Systems.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students.
• Contribute to departmental service and university committees.
• Engage in research or scholarly activities appropriate to a teaching‑focused business school.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field is strongly preferred; ABD or Master’s degree candidates will be considered.
• CPA licensure or eligibility is preferred, with intent to complete licensure requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, collegiality, professionalism, and effective communication.
