Assistant Housekeeping Manager (Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Manager at the Hampton Inn Ellsworth. In this hands‑on leadership position you will help oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensure guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards, and foster a positive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with daily department operations and administrative tasks.
• Lead, train, coach and support housekeeping team members.
• Create and adjust staff schedules based on occupancy and business needs.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and address deficiencies promptly.
• Coordinate daily assignments, monitor supplies, linens and equipment, and communicate inventory needs.
• Maintain cleaning procedures, safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Respond to guest requests and communicate room status with Front Desk and other departments.
• Step in to perform housekeeping duties when needed.

Required profile

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience (required).
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform housekeeping tasks.
