About the role
The Assistant Director of Admissions supports Georgetown University’s undergraduate recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes. Working across both the Hilltop and Capitol campuses, you will engage with prospective students, families, counselors, alumni, and university partners to advance the institution’s mission of building a diverse student body.
Key responsibilities
- Manage recruitment and evaluation activities for an assigned geographic territory.
- Conduct presentations, outreach events, and travel for recruitment purposes.
- Review first‑year and transfer applications and participate in admissions decision‑making.
- Serve as liaison to counselors, applicants, and alumni.
- Support special projects and collaborative initiatives with admissions staff and university partners.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5–7 years of relevant admissions or recruitment experience.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
