Assistant Developmental Editor

About the role

GW is seeking a creative Assistant Developmental Editor to support its Content Development team, which produces instructional content and assessments for higher education and adult learning. The role offers flexible hybrid scheduling and the chance to work on a variety of disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure content follows supplied templates, including file formatting and order.
• Perform quality checks on content and assessments created by freelance SMEs, correcting spelling, grammar, clarity, and alignment with project goals.
• Occasionally write or rewrite assessment questions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong analytical writing and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Track Changes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat for document review.
