Assistant Controller

About the role

GlassesUSA.com, a leading direct‑to‑consumer eyewear retailer, is seeking an Assistant Controller to support its global finance team. You will work closely with Controllers and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end close, reviewing balance sheets, P&L accounts and performing analytical reviews.
• Support the consolidated closing process under US GAAP and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Analyze complex revenue recognition issues and manage sales tax policy, analysis, and reporting.
• Handle the full accruals cycle for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Prepare annual Israeli tax reports and collaborate with Controllers on common reporting.
• Provide guidance to bookkeeping staff and maintain communication with other departments to ensure proper financial reflection.
• Work with external auditors and perform ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Internship experience at a Big 4 firm, preferably in a high‑tech division.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Israeli GAAP.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with US GAAP and Israeli GAAP.
• Revenue recognition analysis.
• Sales tax policy and reporting.
• Priority ERP (advantageous).
