Assistant Community Manager (Temporary, up to 90 days)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in the day‑to‑day financial and operational management of a large apartment community during a temporary, up‑to‑90‑day assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments, and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Reconcile bank accounts and produce regular financial reports.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Enter and maintain data in the property‑management system (Yardi/OneSite), ensuring accuracy and system integrity.
• Review resident accounts for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice compliance and representation in court hearings.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‑keeping.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced leasing environment.
• Basic understanding of residential property operations and accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property‑management software.
