Assistant Community Manager (Real Estate)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in the day‑to‑day financial and operational management of a residential community. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience with rent collection, invoicing, bank reconciliations and property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, ensuring accurate data entry, updates and system backups.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to minimize delinquencies.
• Assist with month‑end close, prepare financial reports and support the preparation of eviction notices when required.
• Handle resident move‑out procedures, including deposit calculations and lease termination fees.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established accounting procedures.
• Excellent written communication skills for resident and vendor interactions.
• Organized, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property‑management software.
