Assistant Community Manager – Real Estate

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational facets of the Atwell Off Main community. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, coding charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering transactions accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents on delinquencies, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and representation in court hearings.
• Handle resident move‑outs, applying lease‑related fees and processing security deposit refunds.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented individual with basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures related to financial operations and lease enforcement.
