Assistant Community Manager for The Mica Community

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of The Mica community, handling accounting tasks, rent collection, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments, prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Communicate with residents regarding unpaid balances, enforce lease terms, and manage delinquency collections.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to appropriate accounts, and coordinate payments with community manager approval.
• Assist with eviction procedures, resident move‑outs, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Supervise on‑site operations in the community manager’s absence, coordinating maintenance and daily tasks.
• Support owner relations by providing performance updates and conducting community tours.
• Help leasing and marketing efforts by greeting prospects, showing apartments, and processing applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in residence life or property management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite or Entrata.
• Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and database management tools.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site mobility.
