Assistant Community Manager – Avana City Park

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a stabilized garden‑style apartment community of 228 units. This onsite role involves daily accounting tasks, resident interactions, and occasional weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Assist with eviction procedures, move‑out processing, and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Supervise on‑site operations in the Community Manager’s absence, including maintenance coordination.
• Support leasing activities by greeting prospects, showing units, and handling applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of property‑management or residence‑life experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software (Yardi, OneSite, Entrata, etc.).
• Competence in Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs.
