Assistant Community Manager – Alexan LoSo

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational functions of the Alexan LoSo mid‑rise community in Charlotte, NC. This full‑time, onsite position involves daily accounting tasks, resident interactions, and supervision of on‑site activities during lease‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate approvals.
• Handle eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and manage resident move‑out dispositions.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence, delegating work and coordinating maintenance.
• Assist with leasing and marketing activities, including greeting prospects and processing applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in property or community management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and detail‑oriented work style.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 20 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi and OneSite property management software.
• Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for reporting.
• Internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management capabilities.
