About the role

Infosys is seeking an AS400 Developer to join its Retail, Consumer Goods, and Logistics unit in Plano, Texas. You will work as a Technology Consultant, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of mainframe‑based applications that support critical business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements during the elicitation phase.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture architectural decisions for the development team.
• Code new features, integrate updates, and ensure system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories, and apply changes to the codebase.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques, and support activities.
