Armed Security Officer - Site Monitor

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an armed Security Officer - Site Monitor in Greenville, SC. The officer supports an aerospace and defense location by conducting patrols, managing access points and providing professional customer service. The position is full time, with a day shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random armed patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and spot unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization and support site entry and credentialing requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, follow post orders and escalate concerns to the right people.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations and security concerns.

Required profile

• Armed guard card or license; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• At least three years of security, law enforcement, military police or military experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions).
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Required skills

• Preferred: customer service experience.
• Preferred: access control and badge experience.
• Willingness to take part in industry-specific security training programs.
