Armed Security Officer - Entrance Operations

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an Armed Security Officer for entrance operations at an aerospace and defense location in Greenville, South Carolina. The role involves routine patrols, managing access points and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents, while delivering customer service and communicating professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Serve personnel, visitors and authorized vendors while following site procedures, access-control requirements and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, exterior grounds and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and keep accurate logs and documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when needed.
• Prepare incident reports and share observations, policy violations and security concerns with leadership and client representatives.

Required profile

• Armed guard card or license.
• At least 3 years of security, law enforcement, military police or military experience.
• Valid driver's license; a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment.

Preferred

• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.
