Armed Security Officer – Full-Time (Day/Night Shifts)

About the role

We are looking for an Armed Security Specialist II to join our team in San Marcos, Texas. The role involves providing physical security, conducting inspections, and managing entry access control for our government and commercial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal guard services, including vehicle and personnel entry control, roving patrols, and armed escort duties.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests, residents, employees, and contractors.
• Conduct mobile patrols within designated areas and screen vehicles and personnel at entry points.
• Protect equipment and personnel while maintaining weapons qualification and proficiency with non‑lethal weapons.
• Work up to 12‑hour shifts in austere conditions such as extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain, or snow.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Minimum three years verifiable experience in U.S. military, corrections, security, or law enforcement.
• Completion of Texas Private Security Level III training within 30 days or possession of a valid Texas PSB Level III license (exempt for full‑time law‑enforcement officers).
• Clean criminal history and ability to pass a pre‑employment background investigation.
• Honorable discharge from the military, if applicable.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and maintain weapon proficiency.
