About the role
Amazon is seeking an Area Manager for its Rural Super Rural (RSR) team. You will lead hourly associates in a fast‑paced fulfillment environment, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time customer deliveries. The role includes a 2‑week on‑site training program located over 50 miles from your home site.
Key responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly employees.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
- Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet business objectives.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 lb, standing, walking, and climbing stairs during 12‑hour shifts.
- Adapt to variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather conditions in loading and refrigerated areas.
Required profile
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
