Area Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Area Maintenance Manager oversees technical and mechanical work across multiple communities, ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality while staying within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage work orders, routine upkeep, and repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances.
• Lead on‑site maintenance staff, schedule preventative maintenance, and coordinate vendor/contractor work.
• Oversee the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and common areas.
• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, analyzing financial statements and operational reports.

Required profile

• Experience supervising maintenance teams in multi‑family residential properties.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to inspect work, develop corrective action plans, and ensure quality compliance.
