Area Installation Specialist, Interiors - San Diego

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring an Area Installation Specialist (AIS) for its interior installation team in San Diego, CA. The AIS supports the customer experience throughout the install job life cycle, including technical measures, assessment of pre-existing conditions and product affirmations. The role reports to the District Installation Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Customer experience (about 25% of the role): keep regular contact with customers, follow up on time, resolve open questions and job changes, manage open services and assigned care tickets, and escalate decisions as needed.
• Job process management (about 60%): assess pre-existing conditions, perform product affirmations and technical measures, run Job Site Inspections (JSIs) after installation starts, check service provider badges, inspect work against construction standards, document scope changes and close open services on time.
• Operations (about 15%): help manage customer inquiries, resolve jobs-on-hold, initiate scope-change requests and use reporting systems to keep the install accurate.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: construction/home improvement experience and experience managing residential install projects.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or equivalent; 5 years of work experience preferred.
• Typical overnight travel under 10% of the time; intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing and lifting material or equipment.
