Architectural Associate (Chicago)

About the role

Pappageorge Haymes Partners is seeking an Architectural Associate to join its Chicago studio. The role provides hands‑on exposure across the full project lifecycle, from concept design through construction administration, within a collaborative and mentorship‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist project teams with design development, documentation, and coordination across all phases.
• Support project architects in producing drawings, 3D models, and specifications.
• Participate in consultant coordination, code research, and site observations, preparing field reports as needed.
• Contribute to design studies, presentation materials, and technical detailing.
• Engage in the firm’s mentorship program and pursue professional development toward licensure.

Required profile

• Completed a five‑year architecture degree or a Master’s in Architecture.
• 1–3 years of professional experience, preferably on multifamily residential projects.
• Demonstrated strong technical, graphic, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to project teams.
• Motivated to advance toward architectural licensure and manage multiple projects concurrently.
