Architect II – Project Architect

About the role

Hamilton Anderson Associates is seeking an Architect II – Project Architect to lead small‑ to mid‑size projects from concept through post‑occupancy. The role works closely with the Lead Design Professional, Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver design, documentation, permitting, construction and close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project teams for assignments and deliverables.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, fees and staffing effort.
• Communicate progress, challenges and support needs to project leadership.
• Document scope changes and additional services.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, owners and other stakeholders throughout design, construction and post‑occupancy.
• Manage consultant coordination for projects up to approximately $10 million in construction cost.
• Participate in client, consultant, agency and internal meetings and prepare meeting documentation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism and quality delivery.
• Identify opportunities for additional project‑related services.
• Organize and oversee drawing and BIM production, including Revit construction document sets.
• Conduct architectural studies, field surveys and develop design concepts, criteria, reports and calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications, detailed documents and perform code reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading small‑ to mid‑size architectural projects (up to $10 M) through all phases.
• Ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget and staffing effort.
• Strong coordination skills with consultants, contractors, owners and internal teams.
• Experience preparing meeting documentation and maintaining client relationships.
• Capability to produce construction documentation and BIM deliverables in accordance with firm and AIA standards.
