About the role
The Anesthesia Technician provides essential support to the perioperative anesthesia team, ensuring equipment readiness and patient safety during surgical procedures. This full‑time, day‑shift position is based at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences campus.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related equipment.
- Assist anesthesia providers with set‑up and turnover of operating rooms.
- Monitor equipment performance and report any issues to biomedical services.
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and ensure compliance with infection‑control standards.
- Document equipment checks and service activities in accordance with hospital policies.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees or graduate assistants).
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
- Commitment to day‑shift work schedule.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment operation and maintenance.
- Understanding of perioperative safety protocols.
