Android Engineer, Social

About the role

Robinhood is building a social experience for active traders, where real‑time market moments and creator content drive engagement. As an Android Engineer on the Social team, you will create and enhance Android features that make investing more social, creator‑driven, and content‑rich.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a fast‑growing, cross‑functional team to deliver high‑impact finance products.
• Design, implement, and launch smooth, stable, and elegant Android experiences using Kotlin and the latest Android APIs.
• Own features from inception through design, development, and production release.
• Work closely with product designers, product managers, backend engineers, and data analysts to ship end‑to‑end functionality.
• Utilize Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Coroutines & Flow (or RxJava), Retrofit, and Room in daily development.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer applications at scale.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high‑quality code.
• Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, and Gradle.
