Analyst, Category Sourcing (Marine)

About the role

Crowley, a privately held U.S.-owned logistics, shipping and fuel services company serving 36 nations and island territories, is hiring a Category Sourcing Analyst. The role provides strategic leadership across the full life cycle of assigned marine category sourcing initiatives, from requirements development through contract execution and transition, using established strategic sourcing methodologies. The work arrangement is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for assigned sourcing categories, turning organizational priorities into category strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder engagement to define project scope, requirements, governance and success criteria.
• Build and direct cross-functional teams through sourcing strategy and implementation, from needs assessment to solution deployment.
• Evaluate business needs, market dynamics, supplier performance and risk using data-driven analysis.
• Champion continuous improvement in supplier selection, retention, evaluation and development, and lead supplier negotiations and relationship governance.
• Develop financial models and analytical tools to optimize total cost and value, and identify value opportunities through policy, process, forecasting and purchase-to-pay improvements.
• Partner with the Category Manager on negotiation strategies, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, proposals and other contracts.
• Provide direction, coaching and indirect oversight to team members, maintain project delivery ownership and keep leadership informed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business or a related field, or equivalent post-high-school education and experience.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, preferably in the marine industry.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
