Analyst / Associate – Private Credit Portfolio Operations & Analytics

About the role

Join a fast‑growing private credit platform in New York, working directly with senior leaders to build and scale portfolio operations and analytics. This hands‑on position blends data‑driven reporting with exposure to investment analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Transform loan and lease data into clear portfolio reports and investigate payment trends, exceptions, and discrepancies.
• Support servicer oversight, reconcile cash flows, research contract questions, and drive issues to resolution.
• Design and build Excel models, reports, and tools from scratch, leveraging AI where appropriate to improve workflows.
• Assist with investor reporting, prepare presentation materials, and follow up on CRM activities.
• Allocate roughly 80% of time to portfolio operations/analytics and 20% to investor‑relations support.

Required profile

• Analytical experience in structured finance, asset‑backed or consumer credit, portfolio analytics, financial‑services operations, investment banking, or a comparable field.
• Strong academic background in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or related disciplines, with relevant internships or projects.
• Excellent communication, practical business judgment, accurate execution, and the ability to work independently on ambiguous problems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel – building models, not just populating templates.
• SQL (plus) – data extraction and manipulation.
• Python (plus) – scripting and analysis.
