Aircraft (UH-1ST) Mechanic 3 – TCN

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic (UH‑1ST) to join our Worldwide Aviation Support Services team. The mechanic will perform complex maintenance on UH‑1ST helicopters, ensuring airworthiness and operational readiness for the US Department of State Air Wing.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components such as cowlings, rigging, surface controls, plumbing and hydraulic units.
• Inspect engines and associated components, repairing or replacing defective parts.
• Remove and install engines, propellers/rotor blades, transmissions, flight controls and other aircraft components.
• Read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals, service bulletins and program documentation to determine repair methods.
• Perform progressive phase, periodic and calendar/hourly inspections.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace electrical wiring and related components.
• Service hydraulic systems, replenish engine oil, lubricate aircraft systems and conduct fueling operations.
• Complete maintenance documentation electronically in compliance with US Army Maintenance Documentation System and program MIS.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate or equivalent Host Nation certification.
• Effective written and oral communication in English.
• Spanish Level L‑2, R‑2 for LATAM programs.
• Knowledge of US Army Maintenance Documentation System (e.g., 738‑751 DoS Pam Gen 1, 328‑23) and ability to enter data electronically.
