About the role
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking an Aircraft Systems Installer – Mechanic on a contract basis to support the A220 final assembly line in Mobile, AL. The role focuses on installing and securing mechanical systems on the aircraft during production.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare mechanical components at the workstation and aircraft parking area.
- Mark, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical parts according to drawings and specifications.
- Inspect bonding and verify compliance with order, GTI, and technical drawings.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED; minimum 2 years experience in aviation production.
- 5+ years hands‑on experience in aviation production preferred.
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 ft, in confined spaces, and lift up to 55 lb.
Required skills
- Mechanical installation and assembly.
- Torque application using specialized tools.
- Inspection of bonding and compliance verification.
- Operation of jigs, hydraulic lifts and related equipment.
