AI Architect/Developer (Hybrid)

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for a senior AI Architect/Developer to bridge AI strategy and production‑grade implementation. Based in Long Beach, CA, you will work in a hybrid model (three days onsite) to design scalable AI ecosystems and deliver custom AI solutions for innovative clients.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into robust, high‑performance AI architectural blueprints.
• Develop clean, modular, and maintainable production code for AI models and pipelines.
• Perform model tuning, quantization, and pruning to meet latency, cost, and accuracy targets.
• Lead and mentor junior developers, enforcing best practices in code quality and model security.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data‑flow diagrams and API specifications.
• Ensure strict compliance with data‑privacy and secure AI development standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering enterprise‑scale AI/ML solutions.
• Proven ability to evaluate and select appropriate LLMs, SLMs, or traditional ML models.
• Strong background in integrating AI services within existing enterprise software, respecting security, compliance, and data‑governance frameworks.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments with frequent delivery milestones.

Required skills

• Python programming
• PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex
• CI/CD for AI, model versioning and monitoring (MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases)
• RESTful API development (FastAPI, Flask)
• Data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Kafka, Spark)
• SQL and familiarity with C++ or Go
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
