Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Stroke Neurology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specialized in stroke neurology. The APRN will provide autonomous patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of follow‑up services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health histories for patients of all ages.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient needs.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments and monitor their effectiveness.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide education to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
